Cyrus emerged from the office and found Sheila leaning against the wall
smoking. She stood up and crushed out the smoke. "Well?"
   "I have ULPD," said Cyrus.
   "What the hell's that?"
   "Undiagnosed Latent Personality Dysfunction."
   "I've never heard of that."
"Neither had I. The doctor says I may seem perfectly normal and
functional, but that's usually just a precursor to some breakdown in
function, and the doctor thought it would be wise to put me on that track
for the time being. There's a schedule of medications which will enhance
and reveal my underlying personality disorders, whatever they may be."
Cyrus patted Sheila's arm and smiled. "But don't worry. I'll be fine. I'm
under a doctor's care, and that's all that matters."
   Sheila lit another cigarette.
