DNA Grandmas
XY marks the spot.
XY marks the strand
The strand of DNA
The strand of angry DNA
Standing on the sunlit strand
The helical beach
Biblical in its curvature
Sunlight under Helios
On Helix Strand
Felix on the Helix Strand
Plucking DNA like some genetical lyre
One more x and she's Felixx
One more little X, a gift from Helios,
for the boy who's now Felicia.
Sexing self on Felix Strand

Angry sunlit memory
Angry sandy memories
In the DNA gears, grinding
Memories just grist for the memory mill
Just grist for the grandma mill
Memories of DNA grandmas
We grow out of our grandma years
Once we were awash in grandmas
But then we outlived every one
Now there are no more old grandmas
But the ones in the garages
The grandma garages
Leaning on their silvery old canes
Their rubber nippled aluminum canes
And their tennis ball bumpered old walkers
They go out shopping with bright green new tennis balls
Shopping all bumpered with newsplit green balls
